The 1.1-million-square-foot power center, at Pima and Indian Bend roads, is nearly leased out, so two new businesses, Auto Zone and Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen, are building from the ground up.
Auto Zone will construct a new 6,200-square-foot store on the property's southwest corner, currently a dirt lot, said Linda Whitlow, spokeswoman for De Rito Partners, which purchased the center in 2008. The business is expected to open mid-summer, she said. Popeyes, which is constructing a 3,000-square-foot restaurant in the parking lot near the existing Burlington Coat Factory, plans to open late spring, she said.
Pavilions at Talking Stick has more than 65 stores, restaurants and services, including a 11-screen multi-plex UltraStar Cinema, McDonald's, Sports and Mountainside Fitness.
